Dr. Lent was a wonderful physician and friend to my husband Jim from the time he came to Fond du Lac in 1973 until his retirement in 2006. I will ever be grateful for the excellent and compassionate care Jim received through some very difficult times, and for his kind and humble manner always. Even though he was Jim's doctor, he also became his trusted friend. His legacy is amazing, and I feel honored to have known him.

There are soooooo many memories of Dr. Lent. I worked with him for many years at St. Agnes. The memories that still makes me smile are; when he first started at St. Agnes. 1. He rode this "old" bicycle to work with an oversized wire basket on the front. 2. He seldom wore a sport jacket to work. When he did, we all made a fuss about it, which embarrassed him. 3. He was the first doctor to use a portable phone. I would tease him that he looked like an electrician with his "tool belt" carrying his large phone and pagers, etc on the belt...
To work with/know him was to like/love and respect him. He will be missed. Mary Ann Evenson-Henning.

Playing guitar with John in the choir loft of St. Joseph's Church for our folk choir. Always so positive and energetic. Such a loss. Blessings to John's family.
