John Lisi, 69, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Heritage Hills Nursing Home, Smithfield, Rhode Island. Born in Providence, he was the son of Gennaro and Rosalie (Grande) Lisi.
He was the brother of Bernadette Marshell, his devoted sister Desiree Perez, Rebecca Detorio, Claudia Lisi and Adrienne Norberg, and longtime partner of many years Kerri Cancelliere. He leaves behind five nieces and nephews, Micaela Girard, Nicholas Girard, Aurelio J Perez, Dara Arpin, and Dandre Walmsley
John was a skilled plasterer who took pride in his hard work and the craftsmanship he brought to every job.
An avid fisherman, John found peace and purpose in the early morning hours spent by the water.
Johns deep passion for fishing, dedication and skill earned him several recognitions in local newspapers. Fishing was more than a hobby to John it was a lifelong passion that brought him pride and fulfillment.
All though johns time with us was cut short, his spirt will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Rest in peace, John. You will always be remembered.
There will be no visiting hours and burial will be private.
