I was lucky enough to meet John and his sidekick Dick Swatland in 1984 in the Notre Dame football office. Little did I know they would become lifelong friends. Rest in heaven John. Until we meet again.

May the Good Lord keep John by His side where he belongs. Some sadness but more happy times to remember. Be well and be safe.

Heaven has a new food sales manager and, no doubt, drive-aways from South Bend and back. What a good person John was, a humble Catholic man. RIP.
