LYNCH

John "Jack", age 86, passed away on November 23, 2025, of Cape May, N.J., formerly of South Philadelphia, PA.

Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman; loved spending his falls and winters up his cabin and summers in Cape May, he enjoyed making fishing lures, watching football, classic TV sitcoms and spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Jack served in the United States Marine Corps. Returning home from the Military, he was a proud Philadelphia Police Officer in the 12th District and Marine Unit. After retiring Jack kept busy working for Cape May Lewis Ferry and Cape May County Township. He loved and adored his cats.

Predeceased by his son, Tom Lynch, his parents, Sarah (nee Taggert) and John Lynch, his sister, Kathleen Hagan, and his niece, Kerri Ann Hagan.

Survived by his children, John Lynch (Michele) and Donna Moffitt (Mike a.k.a. Joe), his grandchildren, Samantha (Rob Helm), Johnny / Young John, Hunter, Tommy, and Kaitlyn, his great-grandchildren, Sophia and Jaxon, his nieces and nephews, Joe, Terry, Jr., Kelly Anne, and Kathleen, and his significant other, Helen Falcone.

Relatives & friends are invited to his Viewing Tuesday, December 2nd, 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM followed by his Funeral Service 12:30 PM in the Main Chapel at the DAnjolell-Barone Memorial Home of Wallingford, 908 S. Providence Rd., Wallingford, PA 19086. Inurnment Private.

Contributions in Jack's memory may be made to the Animal Shelter of donor's choice.
