John Leslie Lyndall, a cherished soul known for his sweet, kind, and gentle nature, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, in
Lakeland, Florida. Born on October 29, 1949, in
Mobile, Alabama, to Henry and Tommie Jane Lyndall, John's life was a testament to the love and warmth he carried within him.
John's early years in Mobile were filled with the close-knit bonds of family, including his late brother Henry E. "Manny" Lyndall Jr., and his surviving brother Charles E. "Eddie" Lyndall. These formative years set the foundation for the compassionate and caring man he would become. John's journey led him to the love of his life, Cathy Black Lyndall, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage until her passing. Together, they created a legacy of love that continued to resonate with all who knew them.
He was devoted, active, and faithfully attended Plant City First Assembly, where his faith and commitment to his community were evident. He lived his beliefs through his actions, spreading kindness and support to all he encountered. John's ability to light up a room with his presence made him a beloved figure, not just within his church community but in every circle he was a part of.
John's interests and hobbies were as generous and outward-facing as his personality. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life and had an uncanny ability to see the good in people and situations. His optimism was infectious, and his gentle demeanor was a comfort to those around him. John's legacy is one of unconditional love, a life lived with purpose and grace, and a heart that never wavered in its capacity to care for others.
As we bid farewell to John Leslie Lyndall, we celebrate a life that was truly a gift to us all. His memory will continue to inspire and guide us, just as his presence did during his time on earth. John's passing is not just a loss to his family but to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit, characterized by love and kindness, will forever be etched in the hearts of those he touched.
John's life story is one of unwavering faith, enduring love, and a kindness that knew no bounds. As we remember him, let us carry forward the lessons he taught through his example: to be gentle with one another, to love without reservation, and to make the world a better place through our actions and words. John Leslie Lyndall will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those he has left behind.
