God called John “Jack” Manderfield to his heavenly home on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the age of 75, after a brave battle with cancer. John was born to Jerome and Violet (Dehring) Manderfield on August 15, 1949, in Racine, WI. His mother, Violet, survives.
John joined the United States Navy after completing high school in 1969. Afterwards, he served an apprenticeship for a career in cabinet making. John was well-known for his talent with woodworking and his detailed craftsmanship.
He married the love of his life, Patricia McKuen, on July 31, 1982, at the Lutheran Chapel of the Cross in Mount Pleasant, WI.
John enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing and spending time with his family.
John was preceded in death by his father: Jerome Manderfield. He is survived by his mother: Violet Manderfield, wife: Patricia “Pat”, children: Tracy (Mark) Zastrow, Terry (Darin) Petrowski and John (Ashley) Manderfield, grandchildren: Kayli Petrowski (fiance: Caleb Krueger), Kendra Petrowski (Tanner Duwe) and Alex Petrowski, siblings: Joanne Smith and Jim Manderfield, his fur babies: Zeke and Zoey, along with many other relatives. John will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
The family is having a private memorial. Military honors will be performed at a later date.
John was grateful for all the compassionate family and caregivers that were by his side, including Mayo Clinic, the VA Clinic and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Care.
