John A. Mason, beloved husband (70 yrs),of Minerva Mason (nee Hayes), loving father of William A. Mason and Patricia Halloran, Grandfather of Katie, William, James, Brandon and Allie, Great Grandfather of Emi, Lily, Willow, and Dani, and brother to William J. Mason (96yrs old), passed away January 7,2023 at age 94. Born in Shanghai China 1928 to James A. Mason (American father) and Chang Ho Ming (mother). John came to the US, served in the Army Air Corps, and graduated from Villanova university as a Mechanical/ aeronautical engineer. His foremost hobby was competitive rifle competions which he pursued all his life and earned His Distinguished Rifleman’s badge through the department of the army/DCM , a rare and lofty achievement. He also designed and assembled a homebuilt airplane in his retirement.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
