I´ve only just discovered John passed in 2023, so I´m sorry for this late posting. Growing up in the UK I was a HUGE fan of Johnny Johnson & The Bandwagon. I even got to meet him at the age of 14 at the entrance door of a club he was performing in in Palma, Mallorca in Spain. (I was on holiday there and my parents waited with me so that I could meet him.). He was the first star I ever met and was so kind and charming to me, even inviting me into the club to see his show. Which is a memory I will always treasure. I continued to buy and love his records for the remainder of the Seventies... RIP Johnny... Thank You For The Music and for making a shy 14-year-old fan so happy when we met back in 1971.

"Breakin' Down The Walls Of Heartache." What an INCREDABLE tune! Just learned he recently passed. But, the LEGEND endures!

I worked with Johnny at the Clarion hotel as banquet servers back around 2004. He was such a fun man, so many amazing stories. He would always be singing in the kitchen. Sending love to his family.
