So sorry to hear about this terrible loss. John was truly a man of God and loved nature. Second on his list was the town of Closter itself. His love for the farm that he cultured for the people of Closter was beyond. He was an amazing man and will surely be missed by his loving family and the town of Closter.(his town) He deserves to have a street named after him. RIP dear friend.

The Rodgers family all loved John and his ever present smile. He was a delight to all of us in the neighborhood and always so sweet. May he rest in peace and we will keep John and his family in our thoughts and prayers.

John was a very special man and a very special friend. I have known him since we were both nine years old and have remained close for all these years. I love you my friend. Thinking of the whole McCaffrey family with love and support. Patti

I´ve known Johnny for over 50 years quite the character, brilliant landscape and generally a hell of a great guy, he will be missed.
