My deepest sympathies!! What a loss. How sad!!
I'm so sad I never got to take him for his last birthday lunch. It was the coldest day and too snowy to go. We spoke often and then he just dropped off. One text, not from him, asking me if I knew him.... no response to mention John had passed!
When John was cold every winter, I made him a blanket the home couldn't loose. We discussed the books he was reading, his daily life, and visited in person as ofter as possible. Such a smart man he was.
I will definitely miss John. He's been a friend for so many years, it's hard to not have said good bye and remind him what an impact his friendship had on my life.
John I'm so glad you are free of your ailing shell. Now you can soar far and wide, soaking up all the true beauty of our world and universe! Hope to see you again.
Peace be with you and your family.
