My sincere condolences to Jack and the McCune family. I worked under Captain McCune´s command in both patrol and detective units. Captain McCune was hard charging and demanding of those he led. Professionalism honestly and integrity were never compromised. He was a good and decent man. May he rest in peace.

You can rest easy now, Uncle Jack. I will miss you. I loved the times I got to spend with you. Your stories were never boring. Our visits to San Antonio to see you with my Dad will be some of my favorite memories. I will never forget how you were there for my Dad when my mum passed away. It meant a lot to me ... and him.

Although we didn't get to spend a lot of time together, I'm glad I got to know you a bit before the end. Getting your help rebuilding the deck with dad was a good memory. My dad of course stepping on every nail and broken board on the ground possible was fun to watch as you and me made fun of him. :)

To quote a rather unexpected person, "Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory." - Dr. Seuss

I hope you are in a better place and finally at peace. Preferably separate from Nana though, so you guys don't kill each other up there too <3. Wherever you are, take care and know that you can rest easy with no regrets.

-Love, Chris
