I sorry to hear about your lost and I would like to share with the family a comforting scripture at John11:25" Jesus said I am the resurrctionand the life he that exercises faith in me, even though he dies will come to life.

Thanks for your wisdom and humour and the way your work has influenced my life.

I listened to you spellbound RTE. I was a big fan immediately and wanted more lots more of John McGahern. I was shocked to hear you had passed away. It isn't the things that you've done John, it's the things that you've left undone. May Heaven welcome you.
