John Wayne Menees, age 75, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Jackson Moser officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Saturday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
John entered this life on July 29, 1949, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Henry and Bessie Benton Menees.
He was a graduate of Clarksville High School and went on to have a successful career in sales with the Bunny Bread Company. John had a passion for fishing and taking care of his garden. He was also a member of Kirkwood Baptist Church.
In additions to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Santos, and brother, Bill Menees.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Hope Sanders Menees; sons, John (Suzanne) Menees, Billy (Lorna) Menees, and Daniel (Jennifer) Menees; grandchildren, Sean (Jun Li) Menees, Sara (Steven) Crotzer, Taylor Menees, Carolyn Menees, Faith Menees, Julien Menees, and Donovan Menees; great-granddaughter, Caroline; brothers, Henry (Maxine) Menees, and Charlie (Nellie) Menees; sister, Pat (Jerry) Wall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kirkwood Baptist Church, 3400 Kirkwood Road, Clarksville, TN 37043.
