John Robert "John Boy" Miller

John Robert Charles Miller "John boy", 52, of Edinburgh, Indiana, born on February 28, 1973, and passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at Johnson Memorial Hospital. From the very beginning lived life with heart, strength, and dedication. John was a man known for his strong work ethic and deep sense of pride in everything he did. He had a natural creativity and an ability to fix, build, or improve just about anything he set his mind to. His kindness was felt by everyone around him, and he never hesitated to help others, often putting their needs before his own. John loved rock music, truck driving, fishing, and spending time doing the things that brought him peace and joy. Above all else, John's greatest love was his family. He loved them fiercely and unconditionally, and anyone who knew him knew that his family came first-always. He would go above and beyond to make sure they were happy, supported, and loved. Whether through his actions, his laughter, or his quiet presence, John showed his love in ways that will never be forgotten. John is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Miller, who stood by his side through life's highs and lows; his children, Tyler Miller, Austin Miller, Charles Miller, and Elieda Miller, who were his pride and joy; his siblings, Tamra Miller, Wanda Miller, Donnie Miller (Penny Miller), Anthony Miller (Windee Miller), Rick Miller (Roberta Miller), Pauletta Meredith (Glen Meredith), and Bob Miller; and his beloved grandchildren, Ashley Miller, Waylon Miller, Sarah Miller, Emersyn Jacobs, and Moses Miller, who brought immense happiness to his life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Miller; his father, Robert Miller; his sister, Judith Petro; his brother in-law Lindley "Hoppy" King, and his nephew Shawn Miller, whom he now reunites with in peace. John leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, loyalty, and selflessness. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will live on forever in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him in return. John's life will be remembered, honored, and celebrated on Friday, January 9, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Jewell-Rittman Funeral Service & Crematory.
