John A. Milz

John Allen Milz, age 69, of Trenton, MI passed away on March 1, 2010 at Oakwood Hospital Dearborn of complications from Diabetes. Born in Wyandotte, MI, May 26, 1940 to John and Dianthia (Mexicott) Milz. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1958. John was proud to serve his country as Specialist Five, E-5, U.S. Army from 1961-1964. He married Joan Kolakowski on October 21, 1967 in Wyandotte, MI. They later settled in Trenton, MI and raised their family. John was a Supervisor at Chrysler Trenton Engine until his retirement in 2000. He enjoyed his family, winters in Florida, traveling, going to shows and movies, and was an avid Tiger baseball, Red Wings and U of M football fan. His summers were spent relaxing at Belleville Lake with family and friends. John is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Carl Benson; daughter, Lori Bonham; daughter, Kathleen Parks; son, John F. Milz and fiancée, Nickie; Grandchildren: Benjamin & Lucas Ott; Emme, Trevor & Corinne Bonham; Elizabeth, Rebecca & Allison Parks; Andrew Milz; Siblings: Richard Milz and Evonna Ewald.
