John Steven Misik

John Steven Misik age 95, of Columbia Heights, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026. Born January 22, 1930. Preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Mickey); parents Stephan and Helen; sisters, Margaret (Joseph) Pavek, Elizabeth (Alfred) Lindner, Helen (Corliss) More and grandson Michael R. Lunney. Survived by children, Jeffrey (Laurie), Robin (John) Lunney, Jerome (Karen); grandchildren, Andrew (Katie), Angela (Tommy) Gore, Ann Marie (Chances) Kuhn; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Ireland, Olivia, Kingston, Rhythm, Naiyah and many extended family and friends.

John's life was devoted to his wife, family, church, and various sporting events. He was an avid MN Vikings fan. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, VFW post and Ushers Club. John was employed by the State of Minnesota for 35 years, served in the Korean War, loved the outdoors and spent hours in his workshop creating various woodworking projects. He was especially proud of the many ribbons and awards received from the MN State Fair. We find comfort in knowing that Dad's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.

A celebration of his life with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 4030 Jackson St. N.E., Columbia Heights, MN on January 30th; visitation 10am - 11am, funeral 11am, luncheon to follow. Interment Hillside Cemetery (2600 19th Avenue, N.E., Minneapolis 55418); feel free to join us. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Immaculate Conception Church or School.
