John J. Miskowski, age 78 of Mendon, passed away at his home unexpectedly on March 14, 2025. He was born in Detroit, MI on January 3, 1947 the son of John and Virginia (Burton) Miskowski. John attended Mackenzie High School in Detroit, MI and was part of the 1965 graduating class. He also attended Walsh College in Troy, MI where he obtained his bachelor's degree in accounting and business. On February 4, 1967 he would marry the love of his life, Donna MacLeod in Dearborn, MI. John loved muscle cars, owning many throughout the years; the one that stands out the most was his 1963 Falcon Pro-Street, that car turned some heads. John was a member of the Flaming Pistons and Corvette Clubs. John was known for having the cleanest yard in town and loved puttering outside to make sure everything looked perfect. John rescued many dogs throughout the years, nursing them back to health and becoming their best friend. Loading up the camper and traveling was something he always looked forward to, especially when they headed to Nashville, TN. He was a hardworking man who loved his family very much.
John is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Donna Miskowski; two children, Jeff Miskowski and Nicole (Steve) Miskowski; five grandchildren, Paige, Hayden, Kennedy, Hailee, and Hannah; his very close cousin, Barbara (John) Luxon; and many extended families.
In keeping with John's wishes, cremation is being conducted. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. It is suggested that donations made in John's name be directed to your local animal rescue and shelter. Condolences and memories may be expressed to his family at eickhofffuneralhome.com
