Obituary published on Legacy.com by Krause Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Inc. - Capitol Drive on Jan. 15, 2024.
John Joseph Mitten
Entered God's loving arms on Monday, January 8, 2024, age 59. John died peacefully in his sleep. He is survived by his mother Elizabeth P. "Libby" Mitten (nee Dresen); sister, Kelly M. Mitten; children, Abrielle Mitten, Amelia Mitten and Angela Mitten; granddaughter, Celeste Badillo. He was preceded in death by his father, John G. Mitten; sister, Jacqueline Ann Mitten and daughter, Amanda Lynn Mitten. John was also loved by many relatives and friends.
John worked for the Milwaukee Police Department for over 15 years. He then went on to be an accomplished electrician. A man of many hobbies, he especially loved gardening, camping, fishing and going up to his "Amanda Land" in Pickerel, WI.
In Heaven, his little angel Amanda will be happy to be in her Daddy's arms again.
He will be greatly missed by so many people who loved him.

I remember John well from the MPD; he was an excellent motor cycle operator, one of the best I my opinion. As a supervisor John requested I meet him at Children Hospital. I shared in what I am positive was one of the hardest decisions of his life. He made the correct one in view of the circumstances.
I send my sympathy and most positive thoughts to his family. I ask God´s Richest Blessing for all.
