BOARDMAN — John T. Moore died on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, at the age of 96.
He was born Sept. 1, 1929, in Wheeling, W.Va., a son of the late William S. Moore and the former Maude M. Groves.
John was proud to serve his nation as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. After his service, he embarked on a long career as a control manager for GMAC, where he devoted 36.5 years of his life.
John was a stalwart member of Canfield United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher. He held memberships in the New Middletown Farmer and Sportsman Club and the former Fonderlac Country Club.
John is survived by his wife, the former Jeanne E. Mangold; two sons, Jeffrey N. Moore, of Lakewood and William H. Moore, of North Ridgeville; daughter, Lynn Gaertner Moore; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be celebrated 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, 3701 Starrs Centre Drive. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service.
