John Edward Mullins, known to many as "Johnny," passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2024, at Fauquier Hospital in
Warrenton, Virginia. Son of the late John and Bernice Mullins; he was 73 years old.
John is lovingly remembered by his cherished family: his two children, John E. Mullins II and his wife, Christy, of Nokesville, VA, and Jason L. Mullins and his beloved fiancée, Jennifer, of
Warrenton, VA. He is also survived by his former wife, Linda M. Liddle, alongside his three brothers: Carl 'Buck' Mullins, David Mullins and his wife, Julee, and James 'Tony' Mullins and his
wife, Kitty, all residing in Cumberland, VA. In addition, he leaves behind two sisters: Judith Willis of Fluvanna, VA, and Sandra Holt, and her husband, Gary, of Powhatan, VA. John's legacy extends to his cherished grandchildren, Blaine, Kamryn, Garrett, John, Claire, and Cyril Mullins, and he is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and his first great-granddaughter expected this June.
Born on September 3, 1950, in
Grundy, Virginia, Johnny was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He was a supportive, kind-hearted, loving, and hardworking individual who touched the lives of many with his supportive and always willing to lend a hand nature.
Johnny proudly served in the National Guard Reserves and had a lifelong career as a general contractor and master carpenter. His craftsmanship and dedication were admired by all who worked with him.
In his free time, Johnny enjoyed various hobbies, such as attending rooster fights, watching baseball games, and hunting for bargains at flea markets. He also loved early morning 7-11 coffee runs and talking late into the night to his friends and family on the phone.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at Moser Funeral Home, located at 233 Broadview Ave. in
Warrenton, VA. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the Moser Funeral Home Chapel, with interment at Stonewall Memory Gardens.
