John Mulz Obituary
Born October 19, 1952, in Rockville Centre, NY, he was a son of the late John Michael Mulz and Edith Midred Tenure Mulz. He was also preceded in death by his beloved in-laws, Andrea and Robert Shoemaker.
John loved his family and especially loved spoiling his grandchildren. He never failed to get their energy up! He enjoyed model trains, classic American muscle cars, and was a gun enthusiast. He also loved watching classic movies and sailing the Hudson River. In his younger years he served his community as a volunteer fireman and baseball coach. John loved telling elaborate, humorous stories from his youth. They always gave everyone a good laugh! He was a devoted family man and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Shoemaker Mulz; daughter, Dr. Jennifer Michelle Cook (Stephen); son, John Robert Mulz; siblings, Susan Bullard (Perry), JoAnn Lemons (Charlie), and Tom Mulz (Jeanette); grandchildren, Charlie, Dexter, Elliott, and Emerson; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm in the Chapel.

Dear Kathy and family:

The memory I have of john as a kid was that hearty laugh and big smile!
