Mr. Murray was the best English teacher I ever had. I had the privelage of being in his 7th and 8th grade English classes, and he also coached me in lacrosse during those years. He had a way of making learning engaging, challenging and fun. I´ll never forget his sharp wit, his love for the English language, and how he did the NYT crossword puzzle in pen (always with a Pilot Precise V5 pen). And of course, bow tie fridays were a tradition that made everyone smile. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

I realized Mr. Murray's house went up for sale and found his obituary. I lived on the other side of the neighborhood but when I would pass by that way, he was typically outside and always offered the friendliest wave. I always meant to go speak with him but didn't get the chance. My sincerest condolences to the family. And his cheery waves will certainly be missed. -

What a tremendous teacher and personality. Made Romeo & Juliet hilarious again. Insisted on doing crosswords in pen because pencils were cowardly. Thank you for shining a light in our middle school lives.

Mr. Murray was an incredible teacher, coach, and friend. He believed in his students unlike anyone else I encountered in my academic career. Though we had not spoken in recent years, I regularly think back fondly on the memories from his classroom and lacrosse field. Sending my deepest condolences to his family.

Mr. Murray was unmatched. Friday Bowties, choice language punctuated by exclamations, and rapier wit always brought color to the classroom.
Forever missed by his students. Thoughts are with his family and friends.

I had the pleasure of having Mr. Murray as my advisor at Peck. He was an incredible teacher and always took such pleasure in being there for his students. I was able to give him a tour of Peck last year when he was in town, and I'm so glad and grateful we were able to reconnect.
