To John's family and Tom: The following was an email I wrote to John when he left Verizon in 2018. It sums up how many of us felt about John at work and applies to his leaving this world too early as well. My sympathies and condolences. May John be at peace and watch over you all.

You are the consummate team player, and a great, generous, and kind person. I have privileged to have worked with you and honored to call you a friend. See you in Sante Fe! Congrats!!!"
