Just made aware of this news. Completely shocked and saddened. I had not seen John in a few years, and was considering texting him to say hello.

A total gentleman, he was always a great guy to hang around and chat with. Loved our convos at Oh Bryons. And a true family man in every sense of the word.

My deepest condolences to Angie, Kyle & Trevor. I hope you have been able to find comfort in the wonderful memories.

RIP John. A life too short, but certainly well lived.

I met John in South Detectives and we eventually worked together in Major Crimes. John was always willing to help and was truly a gentleman. Over the past years, we would occasionally see each other downtown and it was just like we saw each other the day before.
John was always proud of his family.

My condolences to the family for their unexpected loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. I supervised John and worked along side him when I was at HHS. He always found a way to make us laugh, keep us on our toes and ask tough questions when other were to afraid to do so. He was a big mentor to a lot of the new staff and respected by everyone. He will be truly missed by his family, friends and colleagues around the country.

I’m in complete shock at John’s passing. Back in grade school he was just another big brother to me. He always made me feel loved when I saw him. The world has lost a beautiful person. I’m so sorry for your loss Angie.
