Just now seeing this and so sorry to hear of Mr. Nichols passing. Having been an employee of the BCCC during the late 70's I was able to get to know many good and interesting people from around the community, and John was one of them. Along with his brother Don I was able to meet and get to know each of them, and their father as well in the golf and social setting, all quality individuals.
Rest in peace Mr. Nichols, it was an honor to have met you.

Grandpa John was our neighbor as we grew up as kids on wilderness court. Our family will always remember the great values he instilled in us as people and children. I'll always remember rides on the elevator down to his workshop in the basement, hitting golf balls out behind the house, the "old duffer crossing" sign, and helping pick up leaves in the fall. He always made a point to say hello and have a good, meaningful, conversation about life with his friends and neighbors, as well as lend a helping hand to anyone who needed one. He cared for those he loved, and we considered him family, as he considered us part of his. Our condolences go out to Grandma Gussie, and the rest of Mr. Nichols family. It was truly an honor to be apart of his life.

Deepest sympathy to the Nichols family. John and Gussie were our neighbors. They are two of the sweetest people you could ever meet. John's intellect was amazing....and what a sense of humor. We will miss him dearly.

Sherry - My thoughts and prayers are with you on the passing of your Dad. I remember some fun times in high school, especially swimming at your house. Your parents were both so nice. So sorry for your loss.

SAD TO HEAR OF JOHN'S PASSING. HIS GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR AND LOUD LAUGHS WILL BE MISSED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM. HE WAS PRESIDENT OF RWC INC FOR MANY YEARS AND CREATED MANY JOBS AND SECURITY FOR MORE THAN 200 FAMILYS AROUND BAY CITY.
HE LIKED TO HAVE A BEER ONCE IN AWHILE AND HAD MANY STORIES HE SHARED OVER AND OVER WITH HIS FRIENDS AND FELLOW EMPLOYES.
HE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM.
