With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John Anthony Nicolino, who went home peacefully on February 18, 2026, at the age of 82.
John was born on June 14, 1943 in Akron, Ohio, and made his home in Diamond, Ohio, where he built a life centered around family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon, who passed in 2024. Together they shared a deep bond and a lifetime of memories.
John is lovingly remembered by his children, Kelley (Michael) Hershberger, Kevin (Heidi) Nicolino; his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas (Nichole) Hershberger, Dominic (Madison) Nicolino, Dylan Nicolino and Danielle (Luke Dickey) Nicolino; and his treasured great-grandchildren, Christopher and Parker Hershberger and Brylie and his beloved Poodle, Lacey, who never left his side.
John will be remembered for his steady presence, his love for his family, and the quiet way he showed care and devotion to those around him. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow through the generations.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his caregivers, Kiara and Bubbles, for the loving and compassionate care they provided, and to Crossroads Hospice for their devoted support, with special recognition to Christine and Crystal for their kindness and dedication.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him and he was known to all as "Popo." The family finds comfort in knowing he is reunited with Sharon and thoses who went before him. Memorial calling hours will be held from 2 PM until time of memorial service at 4 PM Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with Bill Wisniewski officiating.
