John (Johnny) Nathan O'Neal, age 79, from Atlanta, GA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

Johnny was born on March 11, 1946 in Atlanta, GA, the eldest of four children. He was raised in Smyrna, GA, but lived for many years both in Florida and in Breman, GA. Johnny was a skilled barber for over 35 years, and worked for many years at his family's barber shop, Jenkins Barber Shop in Mableton, GA. He was a kind man who deeply loved his family.

Preceded in death by his loving parents, John Henry Jr. and Appie Virginia (Jenkins) O'Neal, and his brother David Lanier O'Neal, he is survived by his daughter Shalice O'Neal Goins, grandchildren Tyler Miller and Kylie Miller, three great-grandchildren, brother Sam O'Neal (Susan), sister Gina O'Neal de Vries (Lance), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 1-2pm at Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna, to be immediately followed by the funeral service at 2pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Following the service, burial will take place at Riverview Memorial Park, 5411 South Cobb Dr, SE, Smyrna.
