John Joseph Olivieri, 82, of Chester, NH, passed away Wednesday August 20, 2025, at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. He was born on October 20, 1942, in Brookline, MA, a son of the late John and Josephine (Silverio) Olivieri. John had been a resident of Chester for the past 6 years, formerly living in Plymouth VT.

John lived a full and wonderful life. He lived in Massachusetts for 54 years. During that time he had graduated from Medford vocational school was in the national Guards for 6 years, a printer at Daniels Printing, a meatcutter for Stop and Shop, worked in construction with his cousin and then worked for Polaroid as an electrician. When John retired from Polaroid he moved to Plymouth VT where he had built a log home with his wife Linda which they resided in for 21 yrs before moving to Chester NH

Some of John's favorite past times and hobbies were spent cooking, eating, traveling, camping, canoeing, hunting, fishing, ATV riding, foraging for mushrooms, golf cart cruising, gardening and enjoying time with many friends and family.

John is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Linda (Calileo) Olivieri; three daughters, Joanne Summiel, husband James Colorusso, Elaine Olivieri, and Trina O'Brien; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Olivieri.

Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Monday, August 25th from 4:00pm to 6:30pm with a service starting at 6:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Home & Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH 03038. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite organization.
