JOHN WILLIAM PARKER, 61, beloved husband of Jane Anderson Parker, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family.
A lifelong resident of Aiken, John was the son of the late John Edward and Gail Yacovitch Parker. For 40 years, he worked for United Parcel Service working his way up and was an over-the-road driver for the last 22 years. He was a passionate model railroader and was an active member of the South Carolina Railroad Museum for 3 decades. He was an avid train photographer, photographing trains across the United States. He was also a proud member of the Steel Soldiers.
Surviving is his wife of 28 years, Jane; his son, Taylor Becker (Haley), Milledgeville, GA; grandchildren, Lucy and Beau Becker; his sister, Suzi Vital (Jason), Augusta, GA; niece and nephews, Nathan Vital (Sarah), Emma Vital and Harrison Vital (Abby).
A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon, October 4th at 2 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home followed by a reception.
