Mr. Penfield was my landlord for 10 years. He was the nicest man and so understanding. He was nice and let us have our dogs even though he really wasn´t looking for a tenant with pets. He called us back after he said no pets and said I guess it´s ok! Mrs Penfield was an avid UK fan like our household but Penn State fans are loyal as well and I had a Penn State uncle so it was history for our families after that. He truly loved the weekend trips at the railroad and was always happy to see us when we went on the train rides!! Our county lost a great person and he will be missed by all that he touched in his kind ways. Prayers for his family and his dogs that he loved so much!

Our deepest sympathies and prayers go out to you, Jan, Annie and the rest of his family. It was nice to see a fellow Western Pennsylvanian make such a positive impact here in Kentucky. His legacy to the railroad community will be remembered for generations to come.
