John Pettingell

I moved from Chicago to Highland Park to live with a neighboring family of the Pettingells. (I was 15 yrs old) I knew John as "Punch" and knew of a sister, "Judy" My stay in HP was not successful. One day, the doorbell in Chicago rang, and there was John, checking to make sure I was doing alright. I am so sorry for the Pettingell family, and regret not trying to find him earlier. Somewhere, I may still have a letter he sent me from Exeter.
