John was a great grade and high school friend. In our early teens we both had Detroit News paper routes and we shared many a cold soda awaiting for the paper truck to arrive. Played a lot of street hockey in the high school parking lot after dinner. Saw John many times at Michigan games section 67. I know John is rooting the home teams on. Rest In Peace Friend!

Never met a guy nicer than Johnny. After getting over the shock of hearing that he passed, the memories came flooding back. Bowling, working together at PRCU golf outings, playing aggressive Uno until the sun came up, sharing a beverage at Gold Star while watching sporting events, being amazed at his Jeopardy knowledge (I'm sure he is already giving Alex Trebek a run for his money!) and so many more. Another good one gone too soon. Rest in peace dear friend, till we meet again.

I first met John when we traded baseball cards with other kids on the block. But, as an Athletic Director at O.L. Of Mt. Carmel, John was instrumental in guiding Coaches, players, and Parent´s towards Sportsmanship, and teamwork. His inner quiet strength, and listening skills kept the Coaches in each sport coming back year after year.
I wish the best for his beautiful family. And, my thoughts, and prayers will always be for my friend, Johnny Pilon. May you rest in peace...
