John Arthur Plotz, age 73, of Yale, Illinois, passed away at 4:18 AM - Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.
Private family services will be held. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Olney, Illinois. The obituary can be viewed, and condolences left at .
John Arthur was born on September 17, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Albert and Catherine (Cobb) Plotz.
John worked for many years as a restaurant manager. He never met a stranger. John had been a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
John is survived by-
Children- Rebecca (David) Pfohl of New Albany, Indiana; John Ryan Barnett (Jennifer) of Texas and Amanda (Michael) Stuckey of Hidalgo, Illinois
Sister-in-law- Sue Plotz of Indianapolis, Indiana
Nieces- Cathy (Plotz) Cottongim and Cindy Plotz
Nephews- Tim Plotz and Tommy Plotz
Several grandchildren, 1 great grandchild with a second on the way
John was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Albert Plotz.
