John Azucena Primer, 53, of Daly City, California, was born on February 8, 1972, in Manila, Philippines, the third child of Antonio and Hermina Primer. In 1984, he immigrated to the United States with his siblings, Efleda Antonio, Antonio Primer Jr., Grace Primer, and Brian Primer.
John devoted his career to his work as an appliance mechanic, where he was admired for his skill, dedication, and ability to repair nearly anything placed in his hands. Beyond his trade, he was widely recognized for his passion for cars, particularly Porsches and Volkswagens. He was a familiar presence in his neighborhood, often found working in his garage, generously sharing his knowledge and time with anyone in need.
Though he did not have children of his own, John held a cherished place in the lives of his nieces and nephews - Jeffrey Antonio, Tiffany Primer, Kristina Antonio, Jonathan Antonio, and Brittney Primer - who remember him with deep affection. He was a constant source of love, laughter, and support for his family and friends.
He will be remembered for his generosity, selflessness, and unwavering kindness. Whether through simple traditions-such as bringing donuts every Friday to his friend's appliance shop-or through his joyful spirit and humor, he enriched the lives of those around him. A man of great heart, he consistently placed the needs of others before his own, offering comfort and reassurance to all who knew him.
John's legacy is one of love, humility, and service. His family and friends will carry forward the memory of his laughter, his devotion, and his heart of gold.
He is survived by his mother, Hermina Primer; his siblings, Efleda Primer Antonio, Antonio Primer Jr., and Brian Primer; his nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Antonio, Tiffany Primer, Kristina Antonio, Jonathan Antonio, and Brittney Primer; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who mourn his loss and celebrate his life.
John Azucena Primer passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him.
