I am so sorry to hear about John´s passing. I worked with John at Edgcomb and Macsteel for many years. He was professional and hard working and extremely knowledgeable of the steel business. He was a fantastic leader as President of the Eastern Division too. RIP John.

So sorry to hear about John. John was very instrumental in obtaining EDGECOMB METALS receiving the business from ALLOY RODS, (ESAB WELDING) HANOVER, PA....
I even traveled with John to Paris France for a demonstration for his steel mill which he represented very very well.
John, Mark Lukes and I were very close business wise and a few times playing golf but most of all, JOHN, was extremely knowledgeable and professional in all of his dealings. AGAIN, I am so sorry for your loss, but he was a man of his word and loved working and having fun with him and his employees.....
Love and may God Bless the PROUTY family during this time....
Dick Stinchcomb,
ALLOY RODS corp/ESAB WELDING

I was so sad to hear of John's passing. John and I worked closely together for many years at the Bensalem Plant outside of Phila. Probably the best guy to work for that I ever had--never a cross word between us. We had a lot of fun together, in good times or bad times, it didn't matter. We could always find something funny to talk about. Me and John and Linda Jerome and Ed Lazar used to go out to lunch just about every day together--I never saw anyone who loved grilled cheese sandwiches so much!! We talked every once in a while, just to go over memories of those great years together. Wow, it's still hard for me to take in that he's gone. I will always be thankful for my time working with him God bless his entire family and know that you are in my prayers. RIP John

My deepest condolences to Suzy, Julie, Jaime and the entire family.

I had the privilege of working with - and for John for 27 years. John was one of the hardest working individuals I've ever known. A couple years before he retired, we used to trade good natured barbs about who got to work first. More often than not, he beat me to it.

John was tough but fair, and his leadership was a true inspiration. I learned a great deal from him over the years, and I'll always be grateful for the example he set.

Rest in peace John.

Had the honor of working for John for over 17 years. His work ethic was outstanding and there was nothing that he could not accomplish! The day he retired was the beginning of the end for our company. Rest in Peace John !
