John Richard Pulliam of Virgilina passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025 at the age of 43. He was born on October 17, 1982 to the late Mason Richard Pulliam and Carolyn Fletcher Pulliam.
John worked at Cherokee Tobacco Company and considered his co-workers an extension of his family. He loved to bowl, go fishing, and enjoyed camping with his cousins. He also loved to play video games.
John is survived by his mother, Carolyn Pulliam; sister, Ann Tuck (Casey); niece, Amber Tuck; nephew, Dustin Tuck; great niece, Piper Saunders and his beloved dog Lucky. He also has lots of aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his dad Mason Pulliam and his grandparents John and Hazel Fletcher and Lee and Alpha Pulliam.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd 2025, at 2pm, at Virgilina Cemetery with Reverend Norman Talley officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior, beginning at 1pm, also at Virgilina Cemetery. In honor of John, the family encourages you to come as you are. This will be a casual event.
