Mr. John S. Rathmann

John S. Rathmann, 73, of Reddick, passed away on Saturday (April 19, 2008) at Hospice�s Tuscany House. He was born in Anamosa, Iowa and resided in the Ocala area for the past 45 years. John served his country in the US Army for 3 years and then his community in the Ocala Police Department for 12 years and retired from the Marion County Sheriffs Office after 22 years of service. He was a charter member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club, a lifelong member of the Elks Club and a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his daughter, Marcy A. Rathmann of Ocala; son, Steven J. Rathmann and his wife Tammy of Fernandina Beach, FL; his mother, Jennie Rathmann of Anamosa, IA; sister, JoAnn Tydings of Ocala; brother, Jim Rathmann of Bettendorf, IA; nephew, Michael Rathmann; niece, Christy Welch; grandson, Christopher Dean Rathmann. He was preceded in death by his father, John P. Rathmann and brother, Marvin �Mike� Rathmann.
