John Ray Obituary

He is survived by his wife, Regina Gardner Ray, and they were married for 63 years and 1 day. Two daughters Janet Weber (Robert) of Burnsville NC and Anna Ray-Stokes (Jason) of Burnsville NC.
John was a hardworking farmer well known and respected in the community. He was a loving father to his daughters. He spent his last years at home, resting, sharing stories with his sons in law spreading his unique brand of humor and good-natured spirit.
Baptized in 1986 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, he was faithful until he fell asleep in death and had a sure hope for the resurrection on a restored paradise earth.
A memorial is scheduled for Saturday October 25th at 3:00pm. Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 149 Hunter Street Burnsville NC.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to Compassionate Care WNC 856 Georges Fork Rd Burnsville NC 28714 or online at compassionatecarewnc.org. Our family wants to thank the nurses and staff for their kindness and care shown to John during his final days.
