John B. Reece, age 88, of Forsyth County, GA, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025. John was born February 17, 1937, in Fannin County, GA. He was a veteran of the United States Army. John was preceded in death by his father, Charles Jefferson Reece, mother, Bertha Cochran Reece, and step-mother Laura Reece.


He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Thomas Reece; son, John "Barry" (Pam) Reece; daughter, Melisa "Lisa" (Eric) Douglas; sister, Anna Belle Reece Peterson; grandchildren, Joey Daniel, Laura Anne Douglas, Courtney Wilson, Cayla Reece, Cara Cronia, and Corey Reece; and great-grandchildren, Lincoln Reece, Ollie Wilson, Reece Cronia, Fripp Cronia, Aidan Daniel, Ansley Daniel, and Braydan Daniel.


Funeral Service, on Thursday April 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Cochran McDaniel Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Tim Taylor officiating. Music provided by Margaret Crawford.


The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Joey Daniel, Buck Reece, Buzzy Quintrell, James Thomas, Billy Nichols, and Aidan Daniel.


Interment will follow in the Hemptown Baptist Church Cemetery.


The family will receive friends at Cochran McDaniel of Blue Ridge on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
