I remember visiting you as a baby. My mom, Marion Pierce Hendrick, was your mom's cousin and she took us to see you (and your sister) after you were born. My next memory of you was at our house on Carriage Dr. in Norwalk. Our boat was in the backyard up on a trailer. You so much wanted to get into that boat! I helped you up the ladder and helped you down. You had NO Fear! So much curiosity and strength. Although I haven't seen you in many, many years, I've always held fond memories of you my "little cousin".

To John and Trish,
I am so sorry for your loss. I think of Johnny and I see that beautiful face with a dazzling smile. I know all of the hard work that went in to that smile. His unconquerable spirit was an inspiration to all. I know that Johnny was an inspiration to me.
All of our love and prayers, Tom and Susan Reynolds.

As a fourth grade kid I got to know John well. We both had a few challenges as kids. I was a type 1 diabetic. What I loved about John was his fearless attitude. He was a tough kid that did not allow anything to stop him. We went rock climbing and played tough regardless of our limitations. I felt he was truly a brave and kind soul. My thoughts and prayers are with the Reese family. Dan Chandler.
