John L. Revolinsky, age 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Care One in Holmdel, New Jersey, surrounded by the care and comfort of those who loved him.
John was born on November 19, 1943, in
New Brunswick, New Jersey, to Mary and Leon Revolinsky. He was raised in Sayreville, New Jersey, where he developed a strong sense of community, loyalty, and work ethic that would guide him throughout his life. He attended St. Peter's High School in New Brunswick, where he formed lifelong friendships and demonstrated an early love of sports, particularly baseball.
Following high school, John attended Rutgers University for one year before continuing his education at Rider College. There, he majored in Economics and earned his Bachelor of Science degree. While balancing his studies and work responsibilities, John proudly played baseball for The Sayreville Bar for many years, an experience he fondly remembered as a time of camaraderie, competition, and lifelong friendships.
After graduating from Rider College, John answered the call to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Army. He served honorably in Vietnam, a period that shaped his character and deepened his appreciation for service, discipline, and sacrifice. During his military service, John received several commendations, including the Vietnam Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. He carried great pride in his service and the bonds he formed with fellow servicemen.
Upon returning home, John began a long and successful career in sales within the food industry. Known for his professionalism, integrity, and strong relationships, he built a reputation as someone who could always be trusted. He remained in the industry until his retirement in 2008. Never one to slow down, John went on to establish his own consulting business, Wolverine Consulting, where he continued to share his experience and expertise with others.
John and his wife, Carol, made their home in the Orchards, where they lived together for 25 years. Deeply committed to his community, John served as President of the Homeowners Association for over ten years. His leadership was marked by fairness, dedication, and a genuine desire to make the neighborhood a better place for everyone.
In his free time, John enjoyed golfing, especially with his cherished group of friends known as "The Over the Hill Gang" at Woodlake Country Club. These weekly games were a highlight of his retirement years and a source of laughter and friendship. John was also a devoted sports fan and an avid supporter of the New York Giants, holding season tickets for many years and rarely missing a game.
Above all else, John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his children deeply and took immense pride and joy in his grandchildren. He could often be found cheering from the sidelines at their soccer and basketball games, never missing an opportunity to support them. He also treasured time spent at the shooting range with his son and son-in-law, moments that strengthened their bond and created lasting memories.
John was a faithful parishioner of St. Catherine's Church in Holmdel, where he attended Mass for 25 years. His faith was an important part of his life and provided him with comfort, guidance, and community.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Revolinsky; his son, Garrett Revolinsky; his daughter, Suzanne Navarro; and his son-in-law, Ron Navarro. He was a proud grandfather to Christian and Alexandra Revolinsky, and Chase and Gavin Navarro, each of whom brought him great happiness. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Jane Martinez; his sister-in-law, June Schultz; and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. John will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
John's life was one of dedication-to his family, his country, his community, and his faith. His legacy of love, service, and integrity will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know him.
