John B. Rhodes, Sr., age 79, of Roswell, Georgia, died Sunday, March 1, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Hull Rhodes, Jr. and Agnes Armstrong Rhodes; as well as one nephew, John Wade Owens. He is survived by his loving wife of over 44 years, Sally; their five children, Johnny (Jessica), Eddie (Kimberly), Sarah, Maureen, and Bobby (Mariel); and six grandchildren, with another on the way. He is also survived by his siblings, Kathryn Owens (Johnny), Frances Rhodes, Edward Rhodes, and Philip Rhodes (Linda), all of Augusta, Georgia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and family in Roswell on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, with a rosary service at 7:30 PM, at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 10:30 AM, at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church, in Roswell. The family will also receive friends and family on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 11:30 AM until 12:50 PM, with a rosary service at 12:30 PM, at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors in Augusta, with the interment to follow at Summerville Cemetery.
We could not have asked for a better husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered all the days of our lives.
