My loving condolences to the family of Dr. Ringhauser.
In 4th grade, I was moved into my first honors math class in the year 2018 or 2019. When I first met him, he had an atmosphere of kindness and humor. I looked forward to attending his class, and he was the first to teach me long division (a concept I truly struggled with). He would offer tutoring hours and treated me with all respect and kindness, even when I was being a little too slow. Sadly, he left us early due to medical reasons. I still remember the day when he told us he wouldn't be able to finish teaching us, but I will forever be grateful for the time he shared with my class. There were only five of us, and he took so much effort to get to know us. His tests were handwritten and customized with our names in the questions.
I still remember how he made us all laugh and had such a kind spirit. May he rest in peace, and I hope his loving family never forgets what an impact he had on his students' lives. Thank you, Dr Ringhauser, for teaching me that I could be good at math and allowing me to understand that I had the mentality for an honors class.
