John Hardy Robinson age 86, of Plymouth, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Waterford Nursing Home in Mansfield, Ohio. He was born May 26, 1938 in Floyd County, KY to the late Estill and Sadie (Handshoe) Robinson. He was formerly employed by General Motors and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all, watching Ohio State football games with his family.
He is survived by his 3 children, Sandy Sexton of Mansfield, John Robinson of Plymouth and Robert Robinson (Katie) of Mansfield; 4 grandchildren, Nick (Bekah) Sexton, Adam (Jill) Sexton, Andrew (Jess) Sexton, and Zane Robinson; 8 great grandchildren, Kolten, Amery, Ashlynn Sexton, Mia Hinman, Nash Bolin, Gatlin and Nova Sexton and Charlie Duchin; 4 siblings, Blanche Gayheart of Shelby, Beatrice Horne of Nashville, TN, Coleen (Bob) Robinson of Mansfield and Steve (Kathy) Robinson of Plymouth and a sister-in-law, Virginia Robinson of Plymouth.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Estill & Sadie (Handshoe) Robinson; his wife, Lois M. (Wright) Robinson, who passed away on December 10, 2020; a granddaughter, Alexa Robinson; son-in-law, Tim Sexton; sister, Mary Horne; and brother, Wayne Robinson.
Calling hours will be on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio from 10:00 a.m. until the time of John's funeral service starting at 1:00 p.m. at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio with Pastor Micah Pelkey officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ohio Bird Sanctuary in Mansfield, Ohio.
