ROCHE, John A. "Jack" - Age 73, of Fenton, died Friday, April 23, 2010 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road Sunday from 6-9 PM, Monday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and at church Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of Mass. A vigil service will be held 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home, followed by the Knights of Columbus Service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the March of Dimes. Mr. Roche was born November 11, 1936 in Pittston, PA, the son of Thomas and Katherine (Dougher) Roche. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Virginia "Ginny" Hall March 30, 1979 in Flushing. He retired from GM Buick Motor Division after 35 years of service. Mr. Roche was a member and Usher coordinator at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Fenton Council #7418 and the 4th Degree Assemble #2031. He was a volunteer at Genesys Health Park. Surviving are: wife, Virginia "Ginny"; 5 children, Michelle Roche of Athens, GA, Kim Roche and wife Marjorie Wagman of San Leandro, CA, Karen Rice, Kathy and husband Jack Kemp and Tommy and wife Kelley Roche all of Cumming, GA; 2 stepsons, Dale and wife Linda Proffer and Dan and wife Cheri Proffer both of Grand Blanc; 6 grandchildren; sister-in-law, Corinne Roche of Endwell, NY.
