John was born on August 24, 1960, to Albert Lee Ruffins and Hazel Ann Spratt in Lubbock, TX.
John enjoyed drawing, listening to music, gardening, and yard work. He was a great handyman around the house, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his significant other; Wennetter Jackson of the home, daughter; Dashima Ross of Clovis, NM, five step kids; Yolanda Jackson of Clovis, NM, Derond Jackson (Tina) Timpson, TX, Joshua Jackson of Chaparral, NM, Kendra Daniels of Clovis, NM, Kyezannye Lewis of Clovis, NM, siblings; Carrie Reed of Denver, CO, Jarvis Ferguson (Shelly) of Henderson, TX, and Tammi Ruffins of Temple, TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Albert Lee Ruffins and Hazel Ann Spratt, brothers and sisters; Alvin Ruffins, Wilson Ruffins, Martha Richardson and Skylar Ruffins, Mark Ruffins and Michael Ruffins.
