John Salierno

Mr. Salierno played a part of one of my favorite lifetime events by chaperoning our trip to Spain. It has been a wonderful lifetime memory. We had such a great time and he was a fantastic leader - I felt safe with him as our leader and he trusted us to make good decisions. He took kids who had barely left NJ to explore the world. Sounds as if he lived a wonderful life.

Sorry to see this.. he was my Italian /Spanish teacher at PV (1990s) and he helped my Italian speaking parents understand Insurance policies . My condolences to the family.

I am so sad to see this, but what a beautiful obituary. It taught me so much more about Mr. Salierno. I´m afraid to say I may have been one of those few students that failed lol. I had a love-hate relationship with Mr. Salierno but in the end, it was nothing but love. He was even one of the many teachers we had asked to attend our reunion many years ago. It was such a lovely surprise.Sending hugs to his entire family.

I graduated PVH in 1973. Mr. Salierno was our chaperone on a class trip to Italy. He was such a nice man.

My home room teacher all four years at PV In Little Falls. Nice guy set a good example as a teacher and always friendly and had a warm smile.

Dear Peggy and family,
John was very generous, kind and helpful friend with a great sense of humor.
He and Peggy raised a very successful and fine family, of whom he was very proud.
He will be missed.
