I was the luckiest little girl having my parents Lucille and Pete Daly choose their best friend from high school my "Uncle John" to be my Godfather. He guided me in my faith and he walked the walk, talked the talk. He was the most spiritual man I knew. He was fun, loving, smart and did my taxes well into adulthood! He always made me feel safe and loved. Every Valentine´s Day he would drop off a big chocolate Valentine Heart just for me at my parent´s house. I´d wait by the door and he always stopped by to drop it off. He was gone in 2 seconds being the busy man he was, always rushing but never forgetting a kind gesture or comforting word. It continued every year till I was 16 years old. I remember like it was yesterday he said "Elaine, this is the last Valentine I will bring you because you will be getting them from a boy that likes you, going forward. He had a deep connection with so many people and he will be greatly missed. Thank goodness for memories, thank you God for my Uncle John.
