I met John through road bicycling. John, our friend Bruce, and I used to bike everywhere and also go on trips together. He was such a kind, helpful man.
John and I would go cross country skiing and people would think we were `a couple´ because Melanie wanted to stay home in the warmth. On one such trip, we met another `a couple´ and had a good laugh. I will miss going for hikes and bike rides with John.

John will be missed by all his friends. He has been part of our friend´s group for many years. Going to plays, playing cards, going on outings, seeing many concerts, St. Moritz, he was always a pleasure to be around. He loved to get on the dance floor. Rest In Peace dear friend, and may the Lord always hold you in the palm of his hands. Maryann and your friends in our group.

I am very sad to hear of John's passing. It was such a pleasure knowing him. So many wonderful chats while walking and hiking with him at Kittatinny Valley State Park. Always a smile on his face. Such a sweet man. He will truly be missed by me and our Wednesday Walkers group.
Sincere condolences to John's family.

I have known John for 30 years or so. The first thing I think of was he always had a smile on.
I will miss his self deprecating humor, his kindness and his overall good nature.
I can honestly say looking back over our friendship it's hard to remember him ever being negative. He could talk you ear off and would and I am so ever going to miss that. He was one of the most down to earth people I have know, kind, caring, gentle and always upbeat.
Walking and hiking especially KVSP will not be the same.
