Good afternoon. This is Lisa Lopez checking in from the John X. Lopez, Sr. and Rebecca V. Lopez family in Hammond IN. A large number of families grew up together in the NW Ind--The Region -The E.C.-Harbor-. I believe our common thread may have been St. John Bosco School+Church in Hammond IN... before our different dispersals into Life and those who chose to Serve in the Military and become Veterans, college life, entering the work world, moving to where the winter weather is above 50*, love and marriage, Independence, Strength , and the Survival of Life.... Our families supported each other's decisions in Parenthood, Brotherhood and Sisterhood. After Our Brothers graduated from High School....off to Enlisted and Base Camped together @Camp Pendalton, CA and I believe off to Okinawa....My brother, John X. Jr and I were very close, growing up! After their enlistment in the Marines, their was a void in my life.... And then, I was introduced to Doris Scott. We became friends and after a while, Doris filled this void in my life. With our common thread... Marine Pride thru Strength and Sisterhood!! We hung-out together.. and then the day came that both of our brothers, and Fellow-Marines, from The Region, were coming back Home from BootCamp...Ooohh what a Party!! Young boys TO Marines TO Military MEN to Military Veterans! Doris and I, both agreed, Our Brothers are now MEN!! And a Movie comes to mind: "AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN" And shortly after that, I met her boyfriend, George and shortly after that....they were married...Ooohh, what a Party....Then another family...ABATE of IND, Region 2-Lake CO and the House of Boards.I believe we were 450+ Members Strong! And, again, through the ABATE family, we were still hanging out together, going to runs and being introduced to new Riders...AVMRA +Military Vets+Legion Riders... Thank You, Doris and George, for having to experience together,as friends and family, through our Common thread..Love for Life..and Love for Our Military Veterans and their Families!!
To the Entire Scott family, friends and acquaintances..... the Entire Lopez family, will be feeling your lose and sending our Deepest heart-felt Sympathy and Prayers for Strength through this most difficult and trying time in our lives.....
I will ALWAYS remember them as...."The Fearless 4 !!" Bonded thru the Color of Thread..Marine Red
